Match Races Professional racing includes Match Races as well as fleet regattas. As tactician, Enrico takes part in prestigious events such as the Nation’s Cup in Trieste, the Level 1 World Tour-Puerto Calero Trophy in Lanzarote and in 2009 he wins the Italian championship as Paolo Cian tactician. The most important of all Match Races is the America’s Cup: the dream of virtually every sailor, it is Enrico’s goal in the world of sports. With this in mind, he takes part as strategist of the South African crew of America’s Cup Shosholoza, owned by Salvatore Sarno, in sessions held in Naples, Trieste and Valencia. The strategist, when the wind is less than 11 knots, is positioned at the top of the mast to study the waves and the color of the water and when it is stronger, this is done from the deck using the mainsail travel.
